Pepperwood’s first album, Chronicles, shows a growth in their sound and their cohesiveness as a band since the first singles. Performed and recorded live in studio together for a true “band feel.” These songs tell the story of my (Zach) relationship from its birth (toxic) to its height (Caroline) to its eventual bitter end (Ghost) and the after effects and mourning (Drowning). Breakdown – originally slated as the titular track – approaches it from a Birds Eye view, taking in a lot of other dissatisfactions and struggles along with it. It’s a collection of songs of universally felt emotions from my personally lived experiences.
